The CA's published guidelines require service providers to ensure tariff transparency — consumers must be clearly informed of the nature, tariff(s), and terms and conditions of a premium-rate service at the point of sale, in advertising, and while using it, with no hidden charges. The guidelines also require an easy way to unsubscribe, a complaints-handling mechanism, and tariff disclosure consistent with the Consumer Protection Regulations.
