Myanmar's telecommunications numbering is administered by the Posts and Telecommunications Department (PTD) under its Telecommunications Numbering Plan (issued 31 January 2017 under the Numbering Rules 2015). The Plan designates an "800" range for freephone/tollfree services that "impose no charge on the caller," and for charged "Type C" service numbers provided by non-licensees it requires that "Call charges to be clearly signalled, with positive confirmation before incurring rates above standard."
