Premium-rate / additional-service telephone numbers (usługi o podwyższonej opłacie / Premium Rate) in Poland are overseen by the President of UKE under the Act of 12 July 2024 – Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej (Dz.U. 2024 poz. 1221); providers must report each such number to the UKE register at least 14 days before launch, declaring the provider's identity, the service type, the number, the operator, and the net and gross prices (Art. 345-346). For consumer protection, the law sets mandatory spending thresholds for premium services — 0 zł (full block), 35 zł, 100 zł and 200 zł, with 35 zł applied by default — and once a subscriber's chosen threshold is exceeded the operator must notify the subscriber and automatically block further premium connections. The President of UKE may also order a telecommunications undertaking to block access to a premium number or to stop charging for the service.
